Project Overview
Our collaboration with RTW Backpackers began in 2020. Similar to our work with Happy Travels and CheapAz Travel, we focused on integrating our “Hero Travel x WooCommerce Integration” into their website.
Alongside this, we undertook several ad-hoc tasks to enhance the website’s functionality and performance:
Our contributions to their awesome new website include:
- Campervan Bookings: Integrated and improved design for Roaver campervan widget so that customers can easily view live availability for campervans and make a booking direct on website.
- Improving Performance and Speed: Enhanced the overall website speed and user experience.
- Migrating Web Host: Shifted to a high-performance hosting solution for better website reliability and uptime.
- Editing Navigation Menu: Updated the nav menu for improved site navigation.
- Footer Revision: Made adjustments to the footer for better usability and design.
- Other Minor Edits: Conducted various small tweaks across the site for optimization.
It’s important to note that we did not design the entire website, and there are design aspects we’ve sought to improve, however these improvements have not been approved by the Client over the years.

This integration allows the website to show live availability on product pages and complete two-way sync between the WooCommerce website and Hero Travel dashboard.

This feature enables customers to view live campervan availability and make bookings directly on the website. It streamlines the booking process, eliminating the need for manual back-and-forth communication between the customer and the travel agency. This integration saves time for both parties, allowing customers to easily book their preferred campervan online.
